Turnkey System in Detail

Our RTTR cable monitoring system provides you with a turnkey, manufacturer-independent solution for clear and secure temperature monitoring in your power cable grids. The system includes a temperature measurement device, visualization software, RTTR calculation software, and other system components.

VISCOM Power Cable

Clear and intuitive – the visualization software displays the cable temperature in relation to the power load, allowing you to identify hotspots in real time. This enables you to optimally manage your power load.

Measurement System (DTS)

Temperature measurement using the Raman effect: The temperature measurement device sends laser light signals through an optical fiber and captures the backscattered signals. These signals form the basis for calculating the temperature.

Optical Fiber

The optical fiber installed along the power cable functions as a spatially distributed temperature sensor. It offers many advantages: it is non-conductive, resistant to electromagnetic fields, and does not generate its own heat.
